Hey, guys! Last time I took you through the process of creating the drawings for the website. This time, I'm going to show you how I color these suckers up! First of all, the tool of the trade, like last time. I use Photoshop to color my artwork. The version I'm running is CS2. Photoshop is currently on version CS 5, but there's a learning curve associated with each new release and they always move shortcuts around. it's very annoying! CS2 does the job fine for me, and I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broken, don't fix it!" Coloring things with software if made possible with the use of digitizing tablets, which are nifty little touch-sensitive pads that come with a special pen. They work like a mouse, but it feels like using a pen, plus, it captures all the nuances of your hand, such as pressure and sometimes even angle. The main authority in tablets is Wacom. You really can't go wrong with their products. I use a Wacom Graphire 4 (Fig. 1), which isn't even one of the most sofisticated products they have out there. To me, that's fine. It does what I want it to do.
